    Frequently asked questions

Is Radiara really free? Are there hidden costs?

Yes, completely free. No subscription and no in-app purchases. Our team and smart automation build and maintain the app, continuously curate the global catalog, and look after your listening experience so you can simply tune in and enjoy.

Do I need to create an account?

No account needed. Just download and start listening. Your favorites and settings are saved locally on your device.

    Can I listen offline?

Live radio requires an internet connection to stream. Downloaded stations are not supported, you need an active connection to listen.

Why does a station say “Unable to play”?

Live radio is streamed in real time, so a station can occasionally go offline, change its broadcast URL upstream, or restrict access in certain regions. Our catalog is continuously updated and our team monitors common issues. If a station stays broken for you, send us a quick note via Settings → Feedback and we’ll get on it.

How do I report a broken or incorrect station?

Open the app and go to Settings → Feedback. Let us know the station name and what’s wrong (won’t play, wrong logo, wrong country) and our team will look into it and get it fixed.

    Can I record a station?

Yes. Radiara can record the live station you’re currently listening to so you can replay it later inside the app, like a personal, time-shifted recording of a broadcast. Recordings are saved privately on your device for your own listening only, they are never uploaded or shared, and there is no song download or file export. Recording depends on the stream type, so it isn’t available for every station.

    Will it drain my battery?

Radiara is optimized for background playback with minimal CPU usage. Audio streaming naturally uses some battery, similar to any music app. The sleep timer is great for overnight listening.

Does it work with CarPlay or Android Auto?

Android Auto is fully supported. On iPhone, the app includes a dedicated in-app Car Mode with large controls designed for safe use while driving. Native CarPlay support is on the roadmap.

How do I suggest a missing station?

We’d love to hear about it. Open the app and go to Settings → Feedback, then send us the station’s name, country, and stream URL (if you have it). Our team will review the request and get the station added to Radiara’s catalog.
