Fun Facts: Daily Knowledge Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Fun Facts: Daily Knowledge, a general-knowledge reading app developed by HDFoundry. Installing or using the app means you accept them. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
The app is free
Fun Facts is free to use. The current version has no ads, no subscription and no in-app purchases. If that ever changes, these terms and the store listing will be updated first.
Your account
You can use the app without signing up; it creates an anonymous account for you. You may link an Apple or Google account to back up and sync your progress. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or by email as described in the Privacy Policy.
Content and accuracy
Articles are adapted and shortened from Wikipedia with AI assistance, then checked against the original text. We work to keep them accurate, but they are for general interest and learning, not professional, medical, legal or financial advice. If you spot a mistake, tap Report on the article and we will review it.
Licences and attribution
Article text adapted from Wikipedia is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). Each article links to its source page and licence, and you may reuse that text under the same licence. Images are credited to their authors and used under their own licences. Fun Facts is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation.
The app itself, its design, artwork, games and code belong to HDFoundry. You may use them through the app; you may not copy, redistribute, or build a product on them.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app or its service: do not tamper with it or its network traffic, scrape content in bulk, interfere with other users, or send reports that are abusive or deliberately false. We may suspend access to the service if these terms are broken.
Offline use and availability
Articles already on your device can be read offline. Syncing, new articles and sign-in need a connection. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it is free of faults, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from using it. Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be removed by agreement.
Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting the app and, if you wish, your account.
Changes to these terms
When they change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use the app after that means accepting the revised terms.
