These terms cover your use of CDL Test Prep: Permit by State, a study app developed by HDFoundry. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Independent study aid

CDL Test Prep is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with any government agency, state DMV, FMCSA, the U.S. DOT, or AAMVA. Practice questions are not the questions on your state's test. Questions are written from U.S. federal regulations in 49 CFR and facts in state CDL manuals. Always check your state's current CDL manual before you test. The app does not guarantee that you will pass a test or obtain a commercial learner's permit or license.

Use of the app

• You may use the app for personal study and lawful purposes.
• You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app or its servers.
• You must not reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app or its content.
• You are responsible for checking official and current requirements for the state where you plan to test.

Advertising and purchases

The app contains advertising. Some mock tests can be unlocked by watching a short video. No ad appears during a mock test or covers its result.

Lifetime Access is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription and unlocks every mock test and Random test mode and removes ads. You can restore the purchase on a new device. Google Play or the App Store handles payment and refunds under its own policies. Refunds are subject to the applicable store's policies.

Intellectual property

The app's software, design, and original question content belong to HDFoundry or its licensors. You may use the app to study, but may not copy, redistribute, or create a product from its content without permission. The app's questions are written in our own words from the cited regulations and state manuals.

No warranty

The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it useful and accurate, but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing here removes a right that cannot be removed by agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HDFoundry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on practice questions or study materials. You remain responsible for consulting your state's current CDL manual and official test requirements.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the app if we believe these terms have been violated. You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page changes when they do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
